Family suppers: Easy meat stew with sweet potato topping

Family meals: Easy beef stew with sweet potato topping

Add-ins


1 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, finely slashed

2 carrots, finely diced (around 130g)

1-2 sticks celery, finely diced (around 130g)

2 fat cloves garlic, pounded

400-500g braising steak

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 low-salt hamburger stock solid shape

2 tbsp tomato purée

1 x 25g pack parsley, stalks and leaves finely slashed independently

1kg sweet potatoes, peeled and diced

handle of margarine

scoop ground cheddar

Strategy


Heat the olive oil in an overwhelming based dish. Include the onions and cook for 2 mins, then include the carrot and celery and cook until diminished. Include a little water if the mixture stays.

Include the braising steak and cook until seared, then mix in the garlic and cinnamon and cook for a further 1 – 2 mins until the fragrances are discharged.

Add the stock block to 500ml bubbling water and blend into the meat, alongside the tomato purée and parsley stalks. Bring to the bubble and stew secured for 1 hour, then take off the top and stew for an alternate hour or until the meat is extremely delicate. Mix in the hacked parsley takes
